Meet the Principal

Kelly Roberts

Kelly Roberts
Principal of Washington Middle School

Kelly Roberts is the principal of Washington Middle School and a dedicated educator with 23 years of experience in education, including 13 years in the Mehlville School District. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where both students and staff feel supported and empowered to grow.

Mrs. Roberts began her career as an elementary teacher in the Parkway School District before serving as an administrative intern at Pond Elementary in the Rockwood School District. She joined Mehlville as the assistant principal at Bierbaum Elementary and later moved to Washington Middle School, where she served as assistant principal before stepping into her current role as principal.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Louis University, a master’s degree in educational administration from Lindenwood University, and an education specialist degree from Missouri State University.

Throughout her career, Roberts has remained focused on building strong relationships, fostering a positive school culture, and ensuring that every student has access to meaningful learning opportunities. She believes that when students and staff feel safe, seen and valued, powerful learning can happen.

Jordan Willimann

Dr. Jordan Willimann
Assistant Principal of Washington Middle School

Dr. Jordan Willimann brings a wealth of experience and a passion for student empowerment to his role as assistant principal at Washington Middle School, where he is in his third year. Prior to joining the district, Dr. Willimann dedicated a decade to teaching middle school math, beginning his career at Jefferson Middle School in Columbia, Missouri. He then taught at New Haven Middle School, the same middle school he once attended, before returning to St. Louis to teach at Maplewood-Richmond Heights Middle School. Beyond the classroom, he has coached middle school basketball and track, as well as varsity baseball.

Dr. Willimann holds both his undergraduate degree and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Maryville University in St. Louis. He also earned a Master's degree from Columbia College.

In his leadership role, Dr. Willimann values most the opportunity to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families, believing these connections are key to empowering students to become their best selves. Outside of school, he enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy, cooking, being active, and spending time outdoors, with hobbies that include mountain biking, hiking, and gardening.
